If you have been following politics in Nigeria of lately you will discover it seems this present government may not step down in 2023.
I have discovered this over a year ago, and have thought of publishing this, but i haven’t due to one thing or the other. I also discussed this topic with some family and friends and they all said its not possible that this is democracy, that such thing would never happen in Nigeria in the 21st Century.
This present government have all the powers in this world to themselves and they can do anything to keep them in power, for as long as possible not minding what could ever happen.
So far they have done a lot of evil and will still do more and more; Like the Lekki Toll-Gate massacre where dozens of Nigerian youths, peaceful protesters demanding their right where killed and massacred in Lagos by the military and indefinitely suspending twitter within 24hrs after deleting a genocidal tweet by the president. A platform which many Nigerian businesses get daily sales from and we have many twitter influencers who earn a living from their massive followers.
This is a government who sees killer herdsmen and Boko Haram as good people who deserve to be forgiven and pampered and label IPOB and other freedom fighters as Terrorists, a government where all service chiefs and ministers are Fulani which is a tribe that is not even up to 20% of the entire nation and all from same religion.
They have so much powers to themselves and i think they might attempt to use it, in order to extend their tenure beyond 2023. And lastly i have discovered that this government of lately makes fake promises as usual which would come to pass in 2030, a failed government which it’s term will expire in 2023, i don’t know why they should make promises that would come to pass in 2030, that is really fishy.
Since this government came into power what has happened to this country, politically, security wise, economically etc it would take forever to fix.
